Leasing professionals are the first people prospective residents meet, and often their only gauge of the property staff. This course is designed to teach these professionals skills to help them become top producers.

National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) includes:

  • The Leasing Interview
  • Leasing Demonstration & Resolving Objections
  • Rental Policies and Procedures
  • Legal Aspects 
  • The Market Survey Presentation

Programs may be taken as standalone seminars or in full to earn the industry designation.

NALP Requirements

NALP Candidates must have:

  • have worked in the apartment industry for at least six months (this can be obtained while taking the course);
  • successfully completed the eight courses listed above (which total 25 hours), which includes the Market Survey presentation; and
  • meet all examination requirements within 12 months of declaring candidacy for NALP.

About the NALP Exam

The NALP exam is 100 questions timed for one hour and thirty minutes.

Maintaining your NALP Designation

The NALP designation requires annual renewal. Submission of both annual NALP dues of $50 and documentation of three hours of continuing should be submitted to complete the annual NALP renewal. Submission of continuing education is not required for the first renewal. Find online submission and renewal information.
