Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) includes:

Programs may be taken as standalone seminars or as a complete course to earn the industry designation.

CAM Requirements

CAM candidates must complete the following requirements to obtain the CAM designation:

  • worked in the apartment industry for at least 12 months;
  • successfully completed CAM coursework (which total 56 ½ hours)
  • meet all examination requirements within 24 months of declaring candidacy for CAM (CAM Online must be completed within 12 months of declaring candidacy).

About the CAM Exam

The CAM exam is two parts with a total time of four hours.
Part One: 115 questions timed for two hours.
Part Two: 75 questions timed for two hours.

Past your CAM Deadline?

If you began taking the CAM course in 2006 or later, don't worry, you can still finish the course and obtain the CAM designation! Learn about how you can obtain the CAM designation through CAMnesty.

How long will the CAMnesty period last?
The CAMnesty period is expected to last through March 2014.

How do I participate?
You can contact your local National Apartment Association affiliate or complete the NAAEI's CAMnesty Application.
